What's in a Steak?

In every bite of beef there is a story. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I’ll let the photos below do most of the talking, but I do want to share briefly what I see when I look at SLF Beef.

  • I see time spent as a family caring for our animals making sure they have everything they need to live a good life. In turn, we have what we need to live a good life. It’s the farming circle of life.

  • I see nutrition that begins with soil health, seed, growth, grazing and baling while working alongside our nutritionist to make sure our mamas, calves and steers all have the specific diet they need to be healthy.

  • I see animal care in all seasons. It doesn’t matter if it’s bitterly cold or beastly hot, the animals welfare comes first.

  • I see medical care given promptly to each animal on an individual basis.

  • I see meals and naps in the truck while we work long hours through our busy seasons to get the job done.

  • I see investment as we reinvest our earnings to expand and better equip our operation.

  • I see time spent fencing new pasture land so we can expand our rotational grazing system .

  • I see customer care as we work to answer questions promptly while teaching our community about processing and how to cook their beef.

  • I see family meals as our community shares photos of their home-cooked meals.
