Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you raise your own beef from start to finish?

A: Yes. Our beef is raised on our MN farm from breeding - finishing.

Q: What kind of beef do you raise?

A: We raise black angus beef for its superior flavor profile and tenderness.

Q: Does your beef have any hormones or antibiotics in it?

A: No. We never use hormones. We administer antibiotics on an individual need basis (such as a Mama cow with mastitis). But - our beef never has antibiotics in it when it goes in for processing. All antibiotics have a withdrawal period and our beef is clean when it goes in for processing. We prioritize animal health and care on our farm and we strongly believe in administering medical attention when/if needed to avoid suffering or death.

Q: What are the different size options for purchasing beef?

A: Local MN community: we offer beef shares (1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and whole), bundles (10-25lb boxes) and individual cuts. You can shop online and at our barn beef shop (coming soon). Shipping community: purchase bundles and/or individual cuts for a custom box. Stock changes seasonally and we are consistently updating stock throughout the year for our local and shipment customers.

Q: How can I get notified of shop updates or restocks?

A: Sign up for our newsletter to be notified first of restocks, specials and our farm events.

Q: What do you feed your beef?

A: Our beef is pasture raised, grain finished which means they spend the first part of their lives grazing pastures during the warm months and foraging on crops we grow and bale for the winter. They are finished on a mixed grain to add extra marbling at the end. They also get mineral tubs (like vitamins) to balance out their diet. We work with our local Ag Partner’s Cattle Nutritionist to give our herd a balanced and wholesome diet to ensure they are healthy and happy.

Q: Do you ship?

A: Yes! We ship to the continental US.
